Blue Ribbon previously had telephone service through a large national provider. Whenever they needed help, they had to dial into a large call center. When they finally got through to someone, according to Blue Ribbon area manager Amanda Westphal, the person who picked up the phone “never seemed like they were happy to help us.”
Fortis made the transition to business VoIP “very smooth and easy” for Blue Ribbon. Now, everyone in each of the staffing agency’s seven offices has their own extension number, which makes internal calling simple by way of 3-digit dialing. Because everyone is on the same telephone system, someone in the El Dorado Hills office can see if someone in the Lodi office is on the phone, for example.
IT Support
Blue Ribbon had been using another Sacramento area company for IT support. They found the service level less than desirable. The provider had set certain things up in a way that only they could fix them. When there was an issue, the vendor was not timely in their response.
After switching to Fortis, Blue Ribbon found that “the response time was incredible” — whether by phone or by email. Fortis has also been able to simplify IT for Blue Ribbon staff by taking explanations of issue resolution down to a level that a non-technical person can understand.
